Effects and organization of standardized diagnosis and treatment system in adult outpatients with cancer pain

Abstract
ObjectiveTo analysis the clinical effects and introduce the organization of standardized diagnosis and treatment system in adult outpatients with cancer pain.
MethodsUnder the cooperation of many departments including outpatient office, pharmacy, oncology and pain medicine, the NCCN in Oncology-Adult Cancer Pain Guideline was applied to the standardized treatment in outpatient cancer patients, the degree of pain and adverse reactions in 72 patients were summarized after standardized treatment.
ResultsThe number of cases with moderate to severe pain was reduced from 67 (93.1%) to 34 (47.2%) after the standardizion, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) . Constipation occurred in 32 cases (44.4%) , nausea and vomiting occurred in 23 cases (31.9%) , somnolence occurred in 9 cases (12.5%) .
ConclusionUnder the assistance of outpatient office, pharmacy and oncology, the pain medicine doctors are mainly responsible for the treatment. The effects of standardized treatment in adult outpatients with cancer pain is definite, and the proportion of patients with moderate to severe pain are significantly reduced.
