Abstract
ObjectiveAim to study the efficiency of the project-driven teaching method in the teaching of medical microbiology.
MethodsA comparative study was carried out in 240 students enrolled in 2013 in the outstanding class of medical undergraduates of Xinxiang Medical University, and they were divided into experimental group and control group, each group contained 120 students. In the experimental group, the project-driven teaching method was carried out, and the traditional teaching method was carried out in the control group. After teaching, the teaching effects of the two groups were analyzed by questionnaire survey, general ability evaluation, case analysis and theoretical examination.
ResultsThe comprehensive performance and learning indexes of the students in experimental group were higher than those of control group(all P<0.05).
ConclusionsThrough the application of project-driven teaching method, students’interests in learning were aroused, and students’ self-conscious learning ability and innovation ability were improved and better teaching effectiveness of medical microbiology was obtained.
