Qualitative study on the working experience of new mobile nurses

Abstract
ObjectiveTo probe into the real-life experiences of new mobile nurses, so as to provide a factual basis for the new mobile nurses management, make managers understand and focus on new mobile nurses, provide humane and scientific management, and improve the new mobile nurses' work adaptability.
MethodsQualitative study methods were used to investigate 42 new mobile nurses for 42 times with semi-structured interviews and the contents of review were transcripted and summarized.
ResultsThe experiences of mobile nurses were divided into positive experiences and negative experiences. Positive experiences included: rich professional knowledge, enhanced professional skills; communication competence, and making friends; improving stress tolerance, and inspiring their own potential; the strain capacity of clinical commandoes was strengthened. Negative experiences included: bad adaptation for clinical nursing role; interpersonal relationship should be improved; confusion and concern of career planning.
ConclusionsBoth positive and negative experiences are existed in the new nurses' working experiences, so managers should pay more attention to new recruited nurses' working experiences. Managers can establish a complete system which can provide multi-angle humane support and management on professional skills and psychological decompression, so that the new recruited nurses can adapt the motorized rotary positions, and give full play and confidence to their potential.
