Abstract
ObjectiveTo compare the clinical value of radiotherapy and concurrent chemoradiotherapy in elderly patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
MethodsNinety-eight patients with NSCLC were randomly divided into observation group and control group and 49 cases in esch group. The patients in the control group received radiotherapy alone, and the patients in the observation group were treated by concurrent chemoradiotherapy. The clinical efficacy and adverse reaction of the two groups were observed and analyzed.
ResultsThe total effective rate of the treatment group (65.31%) was significantly higher than that of the control group (34.69%), the difference was significant (P<0.05). The incidence of nausea and vomiting in the observation group (85.71%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (42.86%), the difference was significant (P<0.05), but patients were tolerable.
ConclusionsUsing concurrent chemoradiotherapy in elderly patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer, can effectively enhance the short-term effect, and will not cause serious adverse reaction, so it is conducive to the improvement of quality of life of patients and the extension of survival.
