Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the prevalence of human papillomavirus infection in women in Dongyang.
MethodsCobas 4800 HPV detection system was used to detect 14 kinds of high-risk HPV genotypes from cervical scrapes of 15 978 women in Dongyang. And positive results of Cobas 4800 HPV were divided into HPV 16, HPV 18 and another 12 genotypes of high-risk HPV (31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66 and 68).
Results① HR-HPV DNA detection rate in the enrolled subjects was 15.4% (2 461/15 978); of the infected women, HPV 16 infection rate was 1.9% (303/15 978), HPV 18 infection rate was 0.6% (94/15 978) and infection rate of high-risk HPV of other 12 genotypes was 11.5% (1 830/15 978). Positive rate of mixed infection (no less than two genotypes) was 1.5% (234/15 978). ② In the 15 978 enrolled subjects, the positive rate of the age≤20 years old group was 40.3% (27/67), which was 16.8% (438/2 610) of 21 to 30 years old group, 13.8% (659/4 766) in 31 to 40 years old group, 13.8% (741/5 360) in 41 to 50 years old group, 18.8% (596/3 175) in the age >50 years old group (P=0.000). ③ The proportion of HPV 16 infection was 14.8%(4/27), which was the highest, among the HPV infected patients in the age≤20 years old group. The proportion of HPV 18 infection was 4.9%(29/596), which was the highest, among the HPV infected patients in the age>50 years old group. The proportion of HPV infection of other 12 high-risk genotypes was 76.8%(569/741), which was the highest, among the infected patients in 41 to 50 years old group. The proportion of mixed infection (no less than two genotypes) was 13.9%(61/438), which was the highest, among the infected patients in 21 to 30 years old group.
ConclusionsHR-HPV detection rate in Dongyang is higher than national average. The younger women have high infection rate among all ages.
