Practice and exploration of standardized training model for pediatric residents

Abstract
In 2011, the project of the standardized training of resident doctors was started in Chongqing. In order to improve the clinical competence, we decided to adopt the Deming circle management strategy and all kinds of assessment scale of the formative evaluation to assess the training results in the Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. Based on clinical and academic orientation, responsibility advisors trained the trainee man-to-man to enhance their clinical and academic ability. We also hosted academic forums and launched academic salons about the resident standardization training, to expand training space and cultivate their ability of clinical scientific research thinking. A comprehensive graduation examination system was formulated to guarantee students' training quality and thus formed an integrate pediatrics resident standardization training mode to train qualified pediatrics.
