Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the stability, imaging quality and radiation dose index (CTDIvol) of domestic 16-slice mobile CT in cerebral angiography (CTA).
MethodsFour adult volunteers, who were admitted to the Affiliated BaYi Brain Hospital from July to Augest 2018, were selected in our clinical trial. The 16-slice mobile CT was used to perform cerebral vascular enhanced helical scanning to obtain the original tomographic image. The three-dimensional brain was displayed by volume rendering (VR) and maximum intensity projection (MIP) using Anythink CT Plus image processing software. CTA images for another 4 cases of 8-slice mobile CT were compared, and the stability, imaging quality and CTDIvol of the two groups were analyzed.
ResultsThe 16-slice mobile CT intracranial angiography was stable, and the Willis ring, anterior cerebral artery, middle cerebral artery and posterior cerebral artery and its branch vessels were clearly displayed. The CTDIvol of the 16-silce mobile CT in the volume rendering (VR) was less than CTDIvol of the 8-slice CT (20.60 mGy vs. 29.30 mGy, P<0.05).
ConclusionThe 16-slice mobile CT helical scanning can obtain stable CTA imaging and clearly show cerebral angiography images. CTDIvol is significantly lower than 8-slice mobile CT in the volume range.
