Abstract
Objective To study the relationship between statins and venous thromboembolism (VTE).Methods 3 000 individuals with dyslipidemia were selected, and they had no other diseases. The individuals were randomly divided into two groups:observation group was given statins, controling food, and moving, control group was given controling food and moving therapy. After one year, the number of cases of VTE in the two groups was observed and compared with statistical analysis. Results There was no statistical significanse in age, sex, and blood lipid level between the two groups.Seven individuals occurred VTE in control group and two individuals occurred VTE in observation group. There was statistical significance in incidence rate of VTE between the two groups (P <0.05).Conclusions Statins can decrease the occurrence of VTE.
