Chain-mediated effects of resilience and ruminant meditation on post-gastrectomy stress perception and post-traumatic growth in postoperative patients with gastric cancer

Abstract
ObjectiveTo analyze the correlation between pressure perception, psychological resilience, ruminant meditation and post-traumatic growth in postoperative patients with gastric cancer after gastrectomy.
MethodsTotally 384 patients with gastric cancer who underwent total gastrectomy or subtotal gastrectomy from January 2015 to January 2018 in 6 major hospitals in Lianyungang were selected as the subjects,who are measured at pressure perception, post-traumatic growth, post-traumatic growth and event-related ruminative.
ResultsIn postoperative patients with gastric cancer, ruminant meditation and psychological resilience all partially had mediation effect between pressure perception and post-traumatic growth (P<0.05), mediation effect was 0.34 and 0.31, accounting for 19.9% and 18.1% of the total effect. They had chain mediation effect with pressure perception and post-traumatic growth (P<0.05), mediation effect was 0.17, accounting for 10.0% of the total effect.
ConclusionPsychological resilience and ruminant meditation can reduce stress perception, increase post-traumatic growth, and play a part of mediating effect and chain mediating effect between stress perception and post-traumatic growth in Patients with gastric cancer after gastrectomy.
