Abstract
ObjectiveTo discuss about the impact of individualized intervention on the medication compliance of patients in consolidating treatment stage of pulmonary tuberculosis.
MethodsA total of 120 pulmonary tuberculosis patients received from June to December, 2015 in the hospital were selected as the study objects, which were divided into experimental group and control group randomly. 20 patients were selected randomly from experimental group to have preliminary experiment. That's to say, interview was conducted to these 20 patients to record the reasons why the patients didn't comply by doctor's advice to take medicine and were classified. According to the interview result, the intervention scheme to patients was decided, and intervention was conducted to the experimental group. The intervention time was 3 month.Conventional therapy was conducted to control group.A questionnaire survey was conducted to the patient before and after treatment to evaluate the intervention effect.
ResultsMost pulmonary tuberculosis patients were middle-aged, and the majority of patients were working in the health administration section of educational scientific and cultural organization, which occupied around 40.8% of the total. Most patients were unmarried, which were around 52.5%.42.0% patients were living alone. The majority of patients had monthly income over 3000CNY.62.5% patients had medical insurance. Before intervention, the medication compliance score of patients in experimental group was (3.60±1.94). After three-month individualized intervention, the score was significantly improved, and the difference had statistical significance (P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of compliance items of patients were improved significantly.
ConclusionThe medication compliance of patients was low in consolidating treatment stage of pulmonary tuberculosis. The tuberculosis prevention and treatment knowledge and education degree of patients will influence the medication compliance of patients.Individualized intervention can effectively improve the medication compliance of patients to better coordinate the treatment.
