The impact of continuous care on the quality of life of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of continuity nursing on the quality of life of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
MethodsA total of 110 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were randomly divided into study group and control group.Both groups received routine care, and the study group received continuous care on this basis.Saint George's respiratory questionnaire (SGRQ score) , lung function and quality of life between the two groups were compared.
ResultsAfter nursing, the SGRQ scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the degree of reduction in the observation group was greater than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). After nursing, the scores of SF-36 in both groups were higher than those before treatment, and the degree of elevation in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). After nursing, the lung capacity, FVC, FEV1、FEV1% and FEV1/FVC were improved in both groups before treatment, and the observation group were significantly better than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).
ConclusionContinuous nursing care applied to patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease can effectively improve their lung function, and improve the quality of life and quality of life, the clinical value is worthy of affirmation.
