Abstract
Objective Through the blood vessels in the brain artery embolization method to observe the effect of local cerebral embolism model for cerebrovascular disease research to provide a reference.Emboli used in the experiments are autologous blood clot and two different sizes of gelatin sponges. Methods 30 adult dogs were randomly divided into groups (n =10) of autologous blood clots, gelatin sponge group A and B.Emboli used in every group were homemade thrombosis (diameter of about 1.1-1.3 mm) and two sizes of homemade gelatin sponge particles which diameter is about 3.0 mm and 1.0-1.5 mm.Emboli are injected into the internal carotid artery intervention through the catheter, and then to digital subtraction angiography, magnetic resonance imagery, neurological score to evaluate the results. Results Compared the success rate of middle cerebral artery occlusion which group A is 90%,group B is 20% and the autologous blood clots group is 70%,no significant difference between gToup A and the autologous blood clots group (P > 0.05),while group B is differ from them (P < 0.05).Contrast the positive rate of cranial Magnetic Resonance Imagery which A group is 80%,group B is 30% and the autologous blood clots group is 50%,there is statistically significant differences between group A and group B (P < 0.05),and the autologous blood clots group, group A and group B were not statistically different (P > 0.05) ; In comparing the neurological score,no significant difference showed between A group and the autologous blood clots group (P > 0.05),but there are significant differences between the two groups which scored 6-7 points each and group B which scored 10-11 points (P <0.05).Conclusion In the model making, gelatin sponge group A which has advantages on simple, stable is better than group autologous blood. In terms of success rate, effects and follow-up observations on the model, group B was significantly less than the first two.
