Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the expression of CD147 and Snail in prostate carcinoma and their clinical value.
MethodsImmunohistochemistry was used to assess the expression of CD147 and Snail in 25 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia tissues and 80 cases of prostate carcinoma tissues from February 2014 to September 2018.
ResultsThe positive rate of CD147 expression was 61.25% (49/80) in prostate carcinoma tissues, significantly higher than 8.00% (2/25) in benign prostatic hyperplasia tissues (t=21.622, P<0.01). The expression of CD147 was associated with histology grade, seminal vesicle invasion and clinical stage of prostate carcinoma (respectively, t=7.145, 4.691 and 5.877, P<0.05). The positive rate of Snail expression was 66.25% (53/80) in prostate carcinoma tissues, significantly higher than 24.00% (6/25) in benign prostatic hyperplasia tissues (t=13.812, P<0.01). The expression of Snail was associated with histology grade and clinical stage of prostate carcinoma (respectively, P<0.05).
ConclusionThe elevated expression of CD147 and Snail might be involved in the development of prostate carcinoma.
