Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the infection and drug resistance of Acinetobacter Baumannii (AB) in intensive care unit (ICU) of our hospital and provide a gist for clinical rational administration of antibiotics and control of hospital infection.
MethodsFrom June 2015 to June 2016, we retrospected the distribution and drug resistance for 14 antibiotics of AB in various specimens in ICU. The data were processed by WHONET5.6 and SPSS22.0 statistic software.
ResultsTwo hundred and eighty-six AB strains were detected in sputa, accounting for 79.5% of all specimens. Among of them, multi-drug resistant AB strains were 201, accounting for 70.3% of all strains. Drug sensitivity test showed that the isolated AB had low resistance to Polymyxin B (19.82%), but relatively high resistance to the other antibiotics.
ConclusionThe AB strains in ICU have extremely high resistance to common antibiotics and extremely high proportion in multiple drug resistance. The administration of clinical antibiotics should be more reasonable. To strengthen pathogen monitoring, pay attention to environmental sanitation and minimize interventional therapy, we can reduce the opportunity of AB infection and capacity of drug resistance.
