Color Doppler ultrasound in detection of pernicious placenta previa complicating placenta implantation in early pregnancy

Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical diagnostic value of color Doppler ultrasound in in detection of pernicious placenta previa complicating placenta implantation in early pregnancy.
MethodsA total of 158 pregnant women with scar uterus re-pregnancy admitted into Luoding Maternal and Child Health Hospital from April, 2016 to April, 2018 and Guangdong Maternal and Child Health Hospital were selected. Among the 158 pregnant women, 45 with pernicious placenta previa complicating placenta implantation were set as an observation group, and the other 113 with pernicious placenta previa a control group. When the women were 5-13 weeks pregnant, they were examined by color Doppler ultrasound. Their prenatal ultrasound characteristics and clinical features were retrospectively analyzed.
Results43 cases were diagnosed with pernicious placenta previa complicating placenta implantation by color Doppler ultrasound, with an accuracy of 95.56% (43/45) ; and 109 case with pernicious placenta previa, with an accuracy of 96.46% (109/113) . In the observation group, 75.56% women’s myometrium <2 mm accounted for, 51.22% women had placental thickening, 71.11% had placental posterior gap disappearance, and 33.33% had cervical enlargement; which were obviously higher than those in the control group (11.50%, 15.04%, 11.50%, and 2.65%; all P<0.05) . The average age was (32.26±2.28) in the observation group, and was (30.11±2.17) in the control group (P<0.05) . The intrauterine operation times was higher in the observation group than in the control group [ (3.12±1.28) vs. (1.03±0.85) ; P<0.05].
ConclusionsIn the clinical diagnosis of pernicious placenta previa complicating placenta implantation, the diagnostic accuracy of color Doppler ultrasound is relatively high, especially for pregnant women with advanced age and more uterine operations. The detection technology is better for early clinical diagnosis and can provide scientific and intuitive data support for clinical treatment.
