Abstract
ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of MEBO combined with alginate in the treatment of drug extravasation.
Methods49 patients with drug extravasation from January 2015 to December 2017 were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, 24 cases in control group and 25 cases in experimental group. The control group was treated with 50% magnesium sulfate wet compress, and the experimental group was treated with MEBO and alginate dressing and then wrapped with elastic bandage. After 7 days of treatment, the treatment effect, effective rate of relieving pain, and the satisfaction degree on treatment effect were compared between the two groups.
ResultsThe total effective rate (100.0%) in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group (83.3%), the effective rate of relieving pain in the experimental group (92.0%) was higher than that in the control group (58.3%), and the satisfaction degree on treatment effect in the treatment group (100.0%) was higher than that in the control group (58.3%) (P<0.05).
ConclusionMEBO combined with alginate dressing is effective in the treatment of drug extravasation, which can improve the satisfaction of patients, avoid unnecessary medical disputes, and it is worthy of clinical application.
