Abstract
Medical infrared themography (MIT) can clearly, accurately and timely detect small changes in body surface temperature due to various causes. It can sensitively indicate the functional status of soft tissues, viscera, blood vessels and nerves, and therefore help to estimate the location and nature of pain. This expert consensus has detailed guidances for the application of MIT in clinical medicine departments, including examination requirements, clinical analysis, and particular application in pain diseases. After introducing the normal temperature of MIT, there is a detailed analysis of both abnormal increase and abnormal decrease of the temperature. This expert consensus can guide the clinical application of MIT.
