Abstract
In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to sleep disorders in patients with Alzheimer′s disease, and many studies have indicated that orexin may play an important role in these disorders. In this article, we reviewed the involvement of orexin in sleep disorders in patients with Alzheimer′s disease, exploring the relationship between orexin and sleep and summarizing the current understanding and research status concerning orexin in Alzheimer′s disease patients with sleep disorders.
