Abstract
ObjectiveTo explore the influence of PBL combined with situational simulation teaching on the humanistic care ability and core competence of new nurses.
MethodsA total of 50 new nurses admitted to the operating room of this hospital from January to June 2016 were selected as the research objects, and 25 were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method. The control group adopted traditional one-to-one teaching method, while the observation group adopted PBL combined with situational simulation teaching method. The humanistic care ability, core competence and teaching method satisfaction of the two groups of new nurses were compared before and after the training.
ResultsBefore training, there was no statistically significant difference in cognition, patience, courage and total scores of the two groups of new nurses (P>0.05). After training, the indicators of humanistic care ability of new nurses in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After the training, the core competency indicators of nursing professional knowledge, relevant discipline knowledge, critical thinking, communication ability and other 11 indicators in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The satisfaction of new nurses in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05).
ConclusionsPBL combined with situational simulation teaching has a good application effect in teaching in the operating room, which is conducive to improving the humanistic care ability and core competence of new nurses, and effectively improving the satisfaction of new nurses with teaching methods.
