Abstract
ObjectiveTo study the effect of continuous care for patients with interventional treatment of liver cancer.
MethodsA total of 78 patients with liver cancer who received interventional therapy in the department of hepatic oncology from November 2017 to March 2018 were enrolled. The patients were divided into observation group and control group by the method of random control, with 39 cases in each group. The control group received routine interventional nursing, while the observation group received continuous nursing. The difference of quality of life, self-efficacy, level of hope and unplanned readmission rate between the two groups were compared.
ResultsThe total score of life quality and self-management efficacy in observation group were higher than those in control group at 1, 3, 6 and 9 months after discharge, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The hope index of the observation group was higher than that of the control group at 3, 6 and 9 months after discharge, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The rate of unplanned readmission in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).
ConclusionsContinuing care for patients with interventional treatment of liver cancer can improve their quality of life, sense of self-efficacy and hope, and reduce the rate of unplanned readmission.
