Interpretation of 2020 European Thyroid Association Clinical Practice Guideline for the Use of Image-Guided Ablation in Benign Thyroid Nodules

Abstract
Thermal ablation is a new technology that has attracted much attention in the field of treatment of thyroid nodules, and it has been gradually applied. In 2020, the European Thyroid Association issued the Clinical Practice Guideline for the Use of Image-Guided Ablation in Benign Thyroid Nodules, which provided clinical personnel with detailed and reliable guidance on the treatment of benign thyroid nodules with thermal ablation (TA). To be familiar with the TA techniques, operating standards and treatment options of thyroid nodules introduced in the guidelines is of practical significance for the rational application of TA.
