Abstract
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a chronic airway inflammatory disease characterized by continuous airflow restriction. It has a high incidence and mortality in the population, bringing heavy burdens to the patients and society. The establishment of animal models of COPD is the basis of various researches on COPD, but there is no unified modeling method at home and abroad. This review summarizes the animal models of COPD commonly used in recent years, compares the advantages and disadvantages among various modeling methods, and sums up the relevant detection indicators, so as to provide further reference for the future application of animal models in basic research of COPD.
