Expert consensus on intrathecal drug delivery technology for cancer pain management in China (2022)

Abstract
Cancer pain is a prevalent symptom in cancer patients and seriously affects patients' quality of life. Intrathecal drug delivery (IDD) have been widely recognized in effectiveness and safety and is promoted and popularized in cancer pain management now. In order to better regulate this technology and promote rational clinical use of IDD, Chinese Journal of Painology gathered domestic experts with rich clinical experience in this technology, to integrate the existing domestic and foreign clinical guidelines, clinical research and practice, and to form this consensus about IDD in indications, contraindications, operative techniques, prevention and management of complications and perioperative management for cancer pain treatment.
