Abstract
ObjectiveTo explore the effect of MDT(multi-disciplinary team) nursing model on hypothermia in patients undergoing acute and critical perioperative period.
MethodsA total of 80 patients who underwent abdominal surgery in the First People's Hospital of Taicang Affiliatted to Soochow University from January 2019 to January 2020 were selected. The patients were randomly divided into the MDT group (40 cases) and the control group (40 cases). Perioperative temperature changes, postoperative chills, cold frequency and thermal comfort scores were compared between the two groups.
ResultsThe body temperature of the MDT group were significantly higher than those of the control group at the time of returning to ICU and at 1 hour and 3 hours after returning to ICU, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). During operation, the decrease of core body temperature in MDT group was small and tended to be stable, and the incidence of hypothermia and chills was low, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The thermal comfort score of the MDT group was (8.45±0.76) points, which was higher than that of the control group's (7.27±0.86) points, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).
ConclusionsMDT nursing mode can effectively reduce the occurrence of perioperative hypothermia in patients with acute and critical surgery, maintain stable body temperature, reduce the occurrence of chills, improve thermal comfort and increase patient satisfaction.
