Abstract
Intercostal nerve block therapy is mainly used to treat pain disorders in chest, back, waist and abdomen, and postoperative analgesia in the same areas. At present, ultrasonic technology is widely used in the intercostal nerve block therapy, and greatly improves the safety and effectiveness. The anatomy of intercostal nerve, indications, contraindications, block methods, efficacy evaluation, prevention and treatment of adverse reactions, and precautions of the intercostal nerve block were systematically introduced in this consensus, to guide clinicians with standardized application.
