Abstract
Intensive silver needle therapy is a widely used method for chronic musculoskeletal pain caused by soft tissue damage and its associated visceral related symptoms in Department of Painolgy. However, due to the non-strict indication and non-standard operation in the implementation process, the clinical efficacy is not satisfied and complications often occur. In order to further standardize the silver needle therapy to guide the clinical application, this expert consensus are composed including the physical properties of the silver needle, treatment principles, indications and contraindications, routine diagnosis and treatment procedures, acupuncture site methods, precautions, and adverse reactions.
