Abstract
ObjectiveTo analyze the coupling coordination and spatial correlation characteristics of medical service capacity and economic level in prefectures and cities of Xinjiang, for references to promote the coordinated development of prefecture level cities in Xinjiang.
MethodsThe data were collected from the 2021 Xinjiang Statistical Yearbook and the 2021 National Economic and Social Development Statistical Bulletin of various prefectures and cities in Xinjaing. Construction of a comprehensive evaluation index system of medical service capacity and economic level in Xinjiang prefectures and cities, which included 6 first-level indicators and 13 second-level indicators. The range method and entropy weight method were used to calculate the comprehensive evaluation index of medical service capacity and economic level in prefecture level cities; The coupling coordination degree and relative development degree were used to analyze the coupling coordination status and relative development level of medical service capacity and economic level in each prefecture and city, and spatial autocorrelation analysis was used to analyze the spatial autocorrelation of coupling coordination degree.
ResultsThe average coupling coordination degree between the medical service capacity and economic level of 14 prefectures and cities in Xinjiang was 0.43, of which Urumqi City was in a high quality coordination state (0.94), 4 prefectures and cities such as Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture were in a barely coordinated state, with a coupling coordination degree of 0.52-0.58, and 9 prefectures and cities such as Karamay City were in a different degree of imbalance state (<0.40). The average relative development degree of 14 prefectures and cities was 5.61. Among them, the medical service capacity of Karamay City (0.26) and Hami City (0.72) were relatively lagging, the medical service capacity of Urumqi City (0.91) and Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture (0.96) were developing synchronously with the economic level, and the medical service capacity of 10 prefectures and cities (≥1.21) such as Turpan City were relatively advanced. The global Moran′s I index of coupling coordination degrees was -0.24 (Z=-1.08, P=0.135), and there was no spatial clustering.
ConclusionsThe degree of coupling and coordination between medical service capacity and economic level in 14 prefectures and cities of Xinjiang was not high, with significant regional differences, overall advanced medical service capacity and insufficient regional linkage effect.
