Abstract
ObjectiveTo analyze the effect of high-quality nursing intervention on neurological function and activity of daily living in elderly patients with cerebral infarction.
MethodsA total of 134 cerebral infarction patients admitted to the Fourth People's Hospital of Liaocheng from November 2020 to November 2022 were selected and divided into control group (received routine nursing intervention) with 66 cases and observation group (received high-quality nursing intervention) with 68 cases according to different nursing methods.National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), ability of daily living (Barthel) index, Herth Hope Index(HHI) and complications were compared between the two groups.
ResultsAfter intervention, the NIHSS score of both groups decreased compared with that before intervention, and the observation group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the Barthel index of both groups increased, and the observation group was higher than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the three dimensional score of hope level in both groups increased compared with that before intervention, and the observation group was higher than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).
ConclusionsHigh-quality nursing intervention can reduce the neurological damage of patients with senile cerebral infarction, improve their daily living ability, improve their level of hope and reduce the occurrence of complications.
