Abstract
ObjectiveTo explore the effects of diet management based on PRECEDE-PROCEED model among osteoporosis patients in community.
MethodsFrom October 2018 to October 2019, this study selected 208 osteoporosis patients with health record register in communities belong to medical consortium in northwestward of Haidian District of Beijing by convenience sampling. All patients were randomly divided into control group and experimental group with the CHISS 2011, 104 cases in each group. Based on PRECEDE-PROCEED model, experimental group evaluated the predisposing factors, enabling factors and reinforcing factors, carried out the osteoporosis diet management. Control group carried out the routine community diet health education. The evaluation indexes included the rate of diet behavior shaping, awareness of osteoporosis diet, compliance of anti-osteoporosis drugs, the Functional Activities Questionnaire (FAQ) and Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) of osteoporosis patients. CHISS 2011 was used to statistical analysis.
ResultsA total of one year after enrollment, there were statistical differences in the rate of osteoporosis diet behavior shaping, bone mineral density and ODI between experimental group [ (88.47±6.40) %, (-2.84±0.40) g/cm2 and (13.05±5.15) points]and control group [ (74.32±13.63) %, (-3.32±0.49) g/cm2 and (15.16±5.41) points], (P<0.05) .
ConclusionsCommunity osteoporosis diet management based on PRECEDE-PROCEED can improve the diet behavior compliance, osteoporosis comprehensive treatment effects as well as patients' subjective experience.
