Abstract
ObjectiveTo translate the Perinatal Anxiety Screening Scale (PASS) , and test its reliability and validity.
MethodsThe scale was translated following the Brislin model. From January to September 2020, convenience sampling was used to select perinatal pregnant and parturient women in the Obstetrics Ward and Obstetrics Outpatient Department of a Class Ⅲ Grade A hospital in Beijing as the research object. The Chinese version of PASS was used to investigate the pregnant and parturient women to test the reliability and validity of the scale.
ResultsThe Chinese version of PASS included 4 dimensions of acute anxiety and adjustment (14 items) , social anxiety (6 items) , excessive worry (7 items) , and obsessive-compulsive symptoms (4 items) . The content validity index of the Chinese version of PASS was 0.954. The correlation coefficient between PASS and SAS was 0.509 (P<0.01) . After factor analysis maximum variance orthogonal rotation method, a total of 4 factors were extracted, and the cumulative contribution rate was 59.403%. The Cronbach's α coefficient of the total scale was 0.954, and the split-half reliability was 0.886, and the test-retest reliability was 0.967.
ConclusionsThe Chinese version of the PASS has good reliability and validity and can be used to evaluate the anxiety of Chinese pregnant and parturient women in the perinatal period.
