Challenges and reflections on long-term care services in China

Abstract
This paper reviews the current situation, achievements, challenges and thinking of long-term care services in China, and systematically explains the current situation of long-term care service objects, evaluation standards, service forms, service contents, financing methods, payment methods and quality evaluation. In view of the three major challenges of China's long-term care, namely, large differences in levels and service contents, insufficient nursing human resources, and insufficient service quality evaluation and supervision, it is proposed to focus on the national long-term care standards, standardize basic service contents, and create personalized care service packages. It also proposes to strengthen the construction of long-term nursing team, optimize the training model, and improve the overall quality of nursing service personnel, rely on information technology to strengthen the legislative guarantee and improve the quality supervision mechanism of long-term care services.
