Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of rosuvastatin on patients with acute cerebral infarction and its effect on blood lipid, high sensitive C-reactive protein and carotid atherosclerotic plaque.
MethodsOne hundred and four patients with acute cerebral infarction were selected from August 2014 to February 2016. According to the order of admission, the patients were divided into study group and control group, with 52 cases in each group. The control group was treated by routine treatment, and the study group was treated by the conventional therapy based on the use of rosuvastatin. The triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and hs-CRP levels and carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT) changes between the two groups before and after treatment were compared, and the carotid atherosclerosis, carotid artery stenosis and unstable plaques detection were analyzed between the two groups.
ResultsThe TC, TG, LDL-C, HDL-C, hs CRP, the IMT levels of both sides had no significant difference between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). After treatment, all indexes in the study group were significantly better than those in the control group, the differences were significant (P<0.05). The mild carotid atherosclerosis incidence (53.85%) and mild carotid stenosis incidence (57.69%) in study group were significantly higher than those in the control group (34.62%, 26.54%), the differences were significant (P<0.05). The severe carotid atherosclerosis occurrence rate and the severe carotid artery stenosis rate had no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). The detection rate of unstable plaque in the study group (59.62%) was significantly lower than that in the control group (80.77%), and the difference was significant (P<0.05).
ConclusionsThe effect of rosuvastatin on acute cerebral infarction is good, it can effectively improve the blood lipid level of relevant indicators, reduce the inflammatory reaction, stabilize and reverse the atherosclerosis plaque, has the value of popularization.
