Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical efficacy of ozone ablation combined with radiofrequency target thermocoagulation in the treatment of lumbar discs herniation.
MethodsA total of 371 patients with discs herniation were recruited from January 2014 to January 2010. All of the patients were divided into experimental group (n=250) and control group (n=121). Patients in experimental group were treated by ozone ablation combined with radiofrequency target thermcoagulation, and patients in control group were treated by simple ozone ablation. Patients in the two groups were followed up for 12 months, the therapeutic effects, VAS and JOA scores were analyzed and compared.
ResultsCompared with the control group, the VAS score was lower and JOA score was higher in the experimental group, the differences were significant differences(P<0.05). After 12 months of the operation, patients, the cure rate and the total effective rate were 80.4%, 98.0% in experimental group and 70.2%, 93.4% in control group, respectively, the differences were significant differences(P<0.05).
ConclusionsOzone ablation combined with radiofrequency target thermocoagulation has the advantages of less injury, little pain, high safety, good curative effect, convenient operation and low cost. It is a popular method for the treatment of lumbar discs herniation.
