Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the etiological characteristics of patients with cirrhosis
MethodsThe clinical data of 320 patients with liver cirrhosis hospitalized in the First People’s Hospital of Shangqiu from July 2014 to June 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. The etiological characteristics of patients with liver cirrhosis were analyzed.
ResultsAmong the 320 patients with liver cirrhosis, 181 cases (56.6%) were caused by the infection of hepatitis B virus, 28 cases (8.8%) were caused by the infection of hepatitis C virus, 52 cases(16.2%) were caused by alcoholic cirrhosis, 23 cases (7.2%) were caused by primary biliary cirrhosis, 11 cases (3.4%) were caused by Budd-Chiari syndrome, 7 cases (2.2%) were virus hepatitis with alcoholic cirrhosis, 18 cases (5.6%) were unexplained cirrhosis. Analyzed by age, the proportion of cirrhosis after hepatitis B virus in young and middle-aged group was lower than that in the elderly group (P<0.05), while the proportion of alcoholic cirrhosis was higher than that in the elderly group (P<0.05). Analyzed by time, the proportion of cirrhosis after hepatitis B which occurred from July 2014 to June 2016 was lower than that from July 2016 to June 2018 (P<0.05), while the proportion alcoholic cirrhosis increased (P<0.05).
ConclusionsThe main cause of cirrhosis in Shangqiu is still hepatitis B virus, but the incidences of alcoholic cirrhosis and primary biliary cirrhosis are rising, so we should pay enough attention.
