Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of albuterol combined with budesonide atomization inhalation in the treatment of acute attack of asthma.
MethodsA total of 122 patients with acute attack of asthma admitted to Henan Provincial People’s Hospital from February 2018 to February 2020 were selected. They were divided into combined group (65 cases) and control group (57 cases) by envelope method. On the basis of conventional oxygen inhalation and aminophylline treatment, the control group received budesonide atomization inhalation, and the combined group received albuterol combined with budesonide atomization inhalation. The curative effect, pulmonary function indexes, including percentage of forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1%), peak expiratory flow (PEF), respiratory rate, arterial partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2), arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO2), blood oxygen saturation (SaO2), and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups after 7 days of treatment.
ResultsThe total effective rate in the combined group (98.46%, 64/65) was higher than that in the control group (85.96%, 49/57), P<0.05. After treatment, the FEV1%, PEF, PaO2 and SaO2 in the combined group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05), while PaCO2 and respiratory rate were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).
ConclusionsAlbuterol combined with budesonide atomization inhalation is effective in the treatment of acute attack of asthma. The combined treatment can effectively improve lung function, with few adverse reactions.
