Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of Xiaoer Feike granules combined with budesonide suspension on children with bronchopneumonia.
MethodsA total of 146 children with bronchopneumonia treated in the Affiliated Hospital of Henan Medical College from January 2018 to January 2021 were selected as research subjects. The selected children were divided into control group and treatment group by random number table method, with 73 cases in each group. The control group was treated with budesonide, and the treatment group was treated with Xiaoer Feike granules and budesonide suspension inhalation. The clinical symptoms, lung function, serum interleukin-4 (IL-4), and eosinophilic granulocyte (EOS) were compared between the two groups. And the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of the two groups were analyzed.
ResultsThe effective rate of the treatment group was 97.26%(71/73), higher than the 87.67%(64/73) of the control group (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the disappear time of fever and asthma, cough and expectoration stop time, lung rales disappearance time in the treatment group were shorter (P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1), and levels of serum IL-4 and EOS between control group and treatment group (P>0.05). After treatment, FVC and FEV1 in the treatment group was higher, while serum levels of IL-4 and EOS were lower, compared with control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between treatment group (6.85%, 2/73) and control group (2.74%, 5/73),P>0.05.
ConclusionsXiaoer Feike granule combined with budesonide suspension, in the treatment of children with broncho pneumonia, can achieve better clinical effect, reduce recovery time of symptoms and signs, and improve pulmonary function.
