To investigate the clinical effect of Baixuan Xiatare capsule combined with lupatadine fumarate tablets in the treatment of chronic urticaria.

A total of 120 patients with chronic urticaria treated in Zhengzhou People’s Hospital from January 2018 to January 2020 were selected as the research object. The patients were divided into observation group and control group by coin tossing method, with 60 cases in each group. All patients received basic treatment after admission. The control group took lupatadine fumarate tablets on this basis, and the observation group took Baixuan Xiatare capsule on the basis of the control group. After 4 weeks of treatment, the curative effects of the two groups were observed; and the inflammatory indexes, including interleukin (IL)-4, IL-17 and IL-33 were compared between the two groups before and 4 weeks of treatment, and adverse reactions during treatment were compared.

After 4 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate in the observation group was 95.00%(57/60), which was higher than 80.00%(48/60) in the control group (P<0.05). After 4 weeks of treatment, the levels of serum IL-4, IL-17 and IL-33 in the two groups decreased, and the levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).

Baixuan Xiatare capsule combined with lupatadine fumarate tablets in the treatment of chronic urticaria can improve the curative effect, further reduce the inflammatory reaction, and will not increase the adverse reactions.
