Abstract
ObjectiveTo study the clinical effect of ulinastatin combined with octreotide on pancreatitis.
MethodsA total of 102 patients with pancreatitis treated in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University from February 2020 to January 2021 were selected, and they were divided into single group and combined group according to the random number table method, with 51 case in each group. The single group was treated with octreotide, and the combined group was treated with ulinastatin based on the treatment of the single group. The clinical efficacy, symptom relief time, levels of serum inflammatory factors including C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), procalcitonin (PCT), hemoglobin (Hb) and albumin (Alb), and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.
ResultsThe total effective rate of the combined group (96.08%, 49/51) was higher than that of the single group (78.43%, 40/51), P<0.05. The time of bloating relieving, abdominal pain relieving, recover time of blood amylase, and recover time of eating in the combined group were shorter than those of the single group (all P<0.05). The levels of CRP, IL-6 and PCT in the combined group were lower than those in the single group (all P<0.05), while the levels of Hb and Alb in the combined group were higher than those in the single group (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the combined group was 1.96% (1/51), lower than the 15.69% (8/51) in the single group (P<0.05).
ConclusionsUlinastatin combined with octreotide in the treatment of pancreatitis can shorten the time of symptom relieving, reduce the body inflammation, improve the levels of Hb and Alb, and improve the clinical efficacy and safety.
