Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the application value of different hemostatic clips under digestive endoscopy on upper gastrointestinal bleeding.
MethodsNinety-two patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding treated in the Seventh People’s Hospital of Zhengzhou from June 2020 to August 2022 were selected, and they were divided into study group and control group according to random number table method, with 46 cases in each group. The control group was treated by titanium clip for hemostasis, and the study group was treated by harmonious clip. The clinical effects, perioperative conditions, the time when the hemostatic clips began to fall off, level of hemoglobin (HGB), levels of platelets (PLT) and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups.
ResultsThe total effective rate of the study group was 95.65% (44/46), which was higher than the 78.26% (36/46) of the control group (P<0.05). The number of hemostatic clips, blood transfusion volume and hospital stay in the study group were less than those in the control group (all P<0.05). The time when the hemostatic clips began to fall off in the study group was superior to that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of HGB and PLT in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of complications of the study group (6.52%, 3/46) was lower than that of the control group (10.87%, 5/46), but the difference was not significant (P>0.05).
ConclusionsCompared with the titanium clip hemostatic treatment, the harmonious clip under digestive endoscopy can improve the clinical effect, reduce the number of hemostatic clips, decrease blood transfusion volume, improve the level of HGB and PLT, and shorten the hospital stay.
