Abstract
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a common clinical conditional pathogen. With the extensive and irrational use of antimcrobial agents, the resistance rate of Pseudomonas aeruginosa is increasing year by year. The active efflux pump system is the primary antimcrobial-resistance mechanism that exists in Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This paper aims to summarize the articles published recently, and reviews the structure, substrates, the inhibition mechanism, and classification of efflux pump inhibitors.
Key words:
Pseudomonas aeruginosa; Efflux pump system; Inhibitors of efflux pump
