Abstract
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common chronic respiratory disease in the elderly, and its effects on the systemic system cannot be ignored. It has a high number of patients and a high mortality rate.Cerebrovascular disease is another major health threat and one of the most common causes of death and severe disability. At present, there are few studies on whether COPD can aggravate the risk and prognosis of cerebrovascular disease, and the pathogenesis is still not clear. This review aims to review the current knowledge of COPD and cerebrovascular disease, and in order to better understand the associations between the two groups, andclarify the need to fully assess the risk factors for cerebrovascular disease in patients with COPD.
