Abstract
ObjectiveTo carry out bibliometric analysis on literatures related to self-management of chronic heart failure, to understand the research status as well as development and to make methodological quality assessment for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) so as to provide references for clinical workers and researchers.
MethodsClinical literatures on self-management of chronic heart failure were retrieved in Chinese literature databases including WanFang Database, CNKI, VIP and Sino-Med. The distribution of times, journals, authors and research features of included literatures were analyzed with the method of bibliometrics. This paper also made methodological quality assessment for RCTs and analyzed the influencing factors on self-management of chronic heart failure.
ResultsThis paper included 102 literatures. Those literatures featured on numbers increasing year by year, being focused on RCTs (60.8%) and cross-sectional studies (29.4%) , being mostly published in nursing journals and with a small amount of funding supports. Interventions of intervention studies were mainly in self-management education. The quality of research needed to be improved.
ConclusionsResearches on self-management of chronic heart failure are increasing year by year. However, research design and methodology should be further improved.
