Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the the efficacy and safety of Clostridium butyricum powder on gastrointestinal function in children with diarrhea.
MethodsOne hundred and twenty children of dyspepsia diarrhea in the Second People’s Hospital of Linfen from February 2016 to February 2018 were selected as the subjects, and the children were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine treatment and Xingpi Yanger granule. The children in the observation group were treated with Clostridium butyricum live bacteria powder on the basis of the treatment in the control group. The improvement of clinical symptoms, clinical effect, the improvement of gastrointestinal function and the safety of drug use were compared between the two groups.
ResultsAfter treatment, the clinical symptoms remission time of the children in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the daily stool time was less than that of the control group, the differences were significant (P<0.05). Three days after treatment, the levels of motilin and gastrin in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the levels of somatostatin was significantly higher than that in control group, the differences were significant (P<0.05). The effect of clinical treatment in the observation group was better than that in control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).
ConclusionsClostridium butyricum live bacteria powder is effective on infantile diarrhea children. It is beneficial to improve the gastrointestinal function of children and promote the clinical symptoms to be better and faster remission, and the adverse drug reactions are less and the safety is ideal.
