Abstract
ObjectiveTo explore the efficiency of day surgery in holmium laser lithotripsy for lower ureteral stones, and investigate the feasibility and surgery skills.
MethodsFrom August 2014 to March 2018, 408 cases with lower ureteral stones were randomly divided into day surgery group and non-day surgery group, who received holmium laser lithotripsy in one stage, stone was fragmented by holmium laser with F7/7.5 wolf ureterosope, and removed by basket , then indwelling D-J tube was done.
ResultsAll patients were treated successfully in one session. Operation time(34.89±20.62) min, hospital stays(1.00±0.00)days, total cost (12530.88±2423.08)yuan in day surgery group were significantly lower than non-day surgery group. There was no infection, no bleeding, no other severe complication was noted. D-J tube was removed 1-4 weeks postoperativly, and the stone clearance rate was 100%.
ConclusionsThe holmium laser lithoripsy is a safe way to treat lower ureteral stones in day surgery. It has certain advantages of effecient, short stay in hospital, quick recovery, less complication. It is worthy to popularize.
