Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of MDT continuous nursing on negative mood, self-care ability and complications of rectal cancer patients undergoing ostomy.
MethodsA total of 64 patients with rectal cancer ostomy admitted to the hospital from November 2017 to November 2018 were selected as study subjects, and were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 32 cases each. The patients in the control group were treated with routine nursing, and the patients in the observation group were given MDT continuous nursing on the basis of routine nursing. The negative emotion, self-care ability and complication rate of the two groups before and after intervention were compared and analyzed.
ResultsThe scores of self-rating depression scale (SDS) and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) after intervention in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The self-nursing ability of patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group after intervention(P<0.05). The incidence of ostomy complications after one week and three months intervention in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).
ConclusionsMDT continuous nursing can effectively lift the psycho-social adaptability and mental health of rectal cancer patients, improve the negative mood and self-care ability of patients, and effectively reduce the incidence of complications of colostomy. It improves the rehabilitation effect and quality of life of rectal cancer patients.
