Abstract
China is now rapidly moving towards a deeply aging society, and achieving the goal of a healthy aging society needs a lot of nursing manpower. However, compared with the average level of developed countries and upper-middle-income countries, China's current nursing manpower gap is obvious, and there is an urgent need to train a large number of professional nursing staff to meet social needs. This paper refers to the global population and health data of the United Nations, the World Bank and other international organizations, and compares the aging situation in China and foreign countries with the current status of nurse manpower, and analyzes China's future nursing manpower needs. At the same time, this paper puts forward development suggestions based on the current situation of China's geriatric nursing education and the proportion of geriatric nursing manpower, in order to provide a basis for the supplement of China's geriatric nursing manpower, geriatric nursing education and the development of industry.
