Abstract
Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury is a common knee sports injury, resulting in compromised knee function and subsequent meniscus and articular cartilage damage. With the increase of national participation in sports activities in China, ACL injuries are gradually showing a trend of high incidence, low age, and high treatment costs. ACL reconstruction can effectively restore the stability and motor function of the knee joint, which is the first choice of ACL injury treatment at present. Among them, the all-inside ACL reconstruction technique is more in line with the principles of individualization, minimally invasive and meticulousness in the modern ACL injury treatment, which has been popularized and applied in clinic. However, there is no consensus on clinical issues such as surgical indications, technical points, applicability to pediatric and adolescent patients, and rehabilitation protocols for the all-inside ACL reconstruction technique. In order to popularize and standardize the all-inside ACL reconstruction technique, initiated by the Lower Limb Sports Traumatology Group of Chinese Society of Sports Medicine, Sports Medicine Doctor Society of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and the editorial office of the Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics organized this review to summarize the current evidence-based medical evidence, the characteristics and clinical experience of ACL injury diagnosis and treatment in China. Based on the modified Delphi method, experts in sports medicine and orthopaedic surgery from China developed the "Chinese expert consensus on reconstruction of anterior cruciate ligament with all-inside technique (2023 version)". The consensus put forward 15 recommendations for the problems in the clinical application of all-inside reconstruction of ACL, aiming to provide guidance and reference for the standardized application of the all-inside ACL reconstruction technique.
