Abstract
Percutaneous upper thoracic sympathetic block is widely used to treat hyperhidrosis, upper extremity and thoracic ischemic pain, and complex regional pain syndrome. As its clinical application domestically gains momentum and broadens in scope, there's a pressing need to standardize the procedure and advocate for its judicious use. To this end, the editorial board of the Chinese Journal of Painology has convened a group of esteemed domestic experts. Drawing from both national and international clinical research, this expert group has delved into the indications, contraindications, procedural operations, and preventive measures for complications associated with this technique, forming this expert consensus.
