Abstract
ObjectiveTo evaluate the clinical effect of SRK-T formula and HOFFER-Q modified formula in the operation of phacoemulsification and IOL implantation after RK operation.
MethodsFrom January 2011 to June 2015, 14 cases (22 eyes) after RK operation treated by phacoemulsification and IOL implantation were collected. The 22 eyes were divided into 2 groups by the different calculation formula. The difference of the postoperative equivalent sphere and the error between postoperative equivalent sphere and target's refraction was analyzed by the variance for different formulas; and the influence factors of visual acuity were analyzed by univariate regression analysis.
ResultsThe four parameters were analyzed, and the results showed that the corrected visual acuity (P <0.001) and postoperative equivalent sphere ( P <0.001) were improved significantly, the corneal endothelial cells were decreased significantly ( P <0.001), and there was no obvious difference between the IOP ( P=0.732). After the operation, the equivalent sphere were -0.43±1.64D, 5 eyes (22.73%) in the±0.5D, 14 eyes (63.64%) in the ±1D, and 20 eyes (90.91%) in the ±2D. The variance analysis results of the difference between IOL formulas for the postoperative equivalent sphere and the error between postoperative equivalent sphere and target's refraction, there was no obvious difference between SRK-T formula and the HOFFER-Q modified formula (P=0.925 and P=0.743, respectively).
ConclusionsThe visual acuity of cataract patients after RK operation are significantly improved by the phacoemulsification and IOL implantation. The HOFFER-Q modified formula and SRK-T formula both predict the IOL degree well and has no obvious difference in the cataract patients after RK.
