Abstract
ObjectiveTo evaluate the effect of simple self-management project based on WeChat platform (public account and WeChat group) on blood lipid level in middle-aged high-risk patients with cardiovascular disease.
MethodsA total of 105 middle-aged cardiovascular high-risk patients were randomly selected, and public accounts and WeChat groups were created on WeChat platform to conduct self-management education and support measures, such as information release, doctor-patient interaction, peer support, condition monitoring and feedback, to evaluate the changes of blood lipids in the hospital after one year and two months.
ResultsChanges in TC, TG HDL-C and LDL-C of patients before and after intervention were statistically significant (P<0.001). Non-parametric test showed that TG changes of subjects with different mean systolic blood pressure, BMI and cardiovascular disease history before and after intervention were statistically significant (P<0.05). Changes of HDL-C before and after intervention in subjects with different BMI and cardiovascular disease history were statistically significant (P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences in LDL-C before and after intervention among subjects of different ages, mean systolic blood pressure and cardiovascular disease history (P<0.05).
ConclusionSelf-management project based on WeChat platform is a simple and effective intervention mode, which can improve blood lipid level in middle-aged high-risk cardiovascular disease population, and have a more obvious effect on blood lipid improvement in patients with increased systolic blood pressure, BMI and cardiovascular history.
